Rebecca & Tom Got Married
Wow, talk about a long absence. I'm sorry we haven't been update the blog as often! We're in the middle of something huge, so I promise the pay off will be worth it. Meanwhile, I'm in the middle of editing this phenomenal wedding we photographed.
We are the luckiest people in one of the coolest careers right now. We are so lucky to have a chance to photograph people on one of their happiest days of their lives, and we get to meet some of the nicest and sincere people. We recently photographed Rebecca and Tom's wedding. Not only are they ridiculously beautiful but they and their whole family are the sweetest people we have met. You want to know how sweet? After the wedding they sent us this gorgeous modern flower arrangement thanking us for helping them through out the day! Wow. I was floored! Rebecca and Tom thank you for allowing us to photograph your day. We wish you nothing but plenty of love and happiness in the future!!!
Now on to the photos!
I mentioned that Rebecca and Tom were just a little bit good looking right?
Rebecca and I were laughing at the fact that people tend to think Tom looks like Tom Cruise...
They got married at Our Lady of Las Vegas, which was just breathtaking inside. I just have to mention a quick story about their actual ceremony. At the beginning of the ceremony the priest asked a question. "If you could summarize the complete Bible in one word, what would that word be?" I instantly thought of Love, as I think most people did. About halfway through the ceremony he again asked the same question, but this time he gave us the answer. Can you guess what it was? It was ALWAYS. As in I will always be there for you. I will always love you. And then he proceeded to say that there was a song, that most people wouldn't remember that reminded him of God. He began singing the song Always, sang most famously by Ella Fitzgerald. The most amazing thing occurred at that moment. The whole church started singing along. It was such a wonderful, amazing moment to see a whole congregation of people singing this touching song to the bride and groom. I wish I was a better writer to describe this moment to everybody, because it brought tears to my eyes. Sometimes I think wow...I am so lucky to be alive.
Josh got this killer shot of the Priest asking God to bless the rings:
My favorite photograph I took actually happened before the ceremony, and really it's not technically a great shot, but something about it speaks volumes to me. Perhaps the way the little has her body positioned with her eyes closed. It reminds me of the connection between a father and daughter.
Rebecca and Tom's theme was Gothic Romance. Therefore, everything was deep dark red and black. It was gorgeous. Therefore, we kind of wanted to give them a little bit more passionate photographs for their formals.
Although, we did have a little bit of fun....
The flowers for their wedding were simply, jaw dropping amazing. I mean I've seen some pretty flowers, but these flowers perfectly matched up the Gothic Romance theme. They were done by Julie Reed Events, and I have to say she was the nicest person to speak to. She gave all of the bridesmaids and Rebecca a lot of tips on how to keep the flowers fresh, and even tied one of the bridesmaids bouquets to her crutches because the bridesmaid had hurt her leg! I would highly, highly recommend her for any of your floral needs!
Check out this bouquet. I love the black hypericum berries to match the black magic roses:
And instead of a floral pomander or basket for the flower girl, she hand made this beautiful heart wand made out of mini roses. Wow!
A couple more flower details as well as all of the amazing reception details that Rebecca worked so hard on!!!
Okay one last detail shot, and then I have to go. This post is monstrously huge, but I really couldn't help myself. This was such a wonderful wedding. Oh also! One last thing. You might recognize Rebecca's sister. She actually just co-starred in a little movie called, CAMP ROCK
along with a little band called the Jonas Brothers...So cool right? Meaghan was sooo sweet! We actually got to photograph Rebecca's rehearsal dinner that was also Meaghan's premiere party for Camp rock as well. Maybe I'll post some of those as well. Okay! Here comes the last shot:
And of course a slideshow!!! For some reason Blogger wouldn't let me load this straight on to the page, so just click HERE for the direct link.

Tamanna & Mir Got Married And....Partied!!!
Color...I love color. I love them all chartreuse, hot pink, violet, peach. If it's named after a fruit or has a weird name that Josh doesn't understand bring it on. Which is why, when Josh told me that we had received an inquiry for an Indian reception, I freaked out. I mean you want to talk about color? Beautiful, gorgeous, vibrant colors? After I calmed down and met our lovely couple though my priorities shifted. I just wanted to deliver beautiful, vibrant images to match the energy and love that surges between Tamanna and Mir. I love color....but I love couples in love and their joyful families even more.
I was not disappointed.
Our weekend began with Josh arriving at the brides father's house to photograph the henna and the celebration afterwards. I don't think words are sufficient to describe the beauty of henna...

And the celebration began:
Color....it was everywhere on the day of the reception:
My favorite getting ready shot of the day done by Josh...
Tamanna's dad, Pankaj, was adorable. I thought he was such a handsome fellow (kind of reminded me of my dad).
After the getting ready shots, we headed to the Anthem Center (which by the way is a gorgeous venue), for some quick portraits during cocktail hour.
Cocktail hour was amazing:
My favorite part of the reception was when Tamanna's nephews and their wives performed this hilarious skit about how Tamanna and Mir met. I mean they danced and there was props!!! Every wedding should have a skit.
There was cake and toasts, but afterwards the partying started, and there was a lot of partying!!!
This was some pretty serious partying...I mean props were used!
We also set up an onsite studio set up for some fun guest photographs. We don't do this very often, but it's definitely fun to do! First off we had a prop of Mir's head on a stick. I think Mir got close to a lot of people that night...
Very close....
And of course we have a slideshow. Not just any slideshow though. The largest slideshow ever! Well, not really but at a whopping two thirty something images, it's huge. Enjoy!!!
Mir and Tamanna, we had so much fun with you and your family. Thank you so much for allowing us to be part of such wonderful celebration. I can't wait to see you two take off in Hollywood!!!

Michaele & Karl Are Getting Married!
We're a little behind on blogging if you can't tell, but believe me, this engagement session was worth the wait. On Memorial day weekend we got to know two of the most in love people I have ever met, Michaele and Karl. They are wildly, madly, head over heals, heart thumping in love and it shows through every single look and touch. It was wonderful to be part of that even for just a couple of hours.
For their photos we actually headed to a different location than we normally shoot at. When I was suggesting locations to Michaele, she expressed desire of being a little different. Well, I knew she was an Art major, so I suggested the Art District in Downtown, Las Vegas. I was elated when she said that would be perfect. Downtown there are all these funky painted walls, and broke down looking buildings that make for yummy photos...
I guess I won't digress, and since I already posted two of my fave photographs, I thought I would post another three of my faves.
And the last one, which I know has been done a bajillion times, but it's an oldy but goody...
Michaele and Karl, it was such a pleasure hanging out with you two for the afternoon. I know both Josh and I had such a blast, and we can't wait until your wedding!!!
And of course, a slideshow to not disappoint:
