Jessica & Jeff Are Getting Married

Jessica and Jeff are getting married pretty soon (as in weeks!). They still managed to squeeze in an engagement shoot, and I'm so glad that they did. I loved the emotions that were captured. Jessica and Jeff are one sexy couple!

Five Things We Learned About Them:

1. Get some drinks in Jeff and he loosens right up :)

2. Jessica loves shoes. As in lines them up in a row and sighs happily (Don't worry I'm the same way!)

3. Jessica has awesome bedroom eyes (I was mesmerized)

4. Jessica and Jeff have a beautiful baby girl.

5. They are so in love. You can tell by every look and every touch.

We had so much fun with them, shooting at our favorite location. Josh tried to get them to jump into the water, but apparently they weren't having it. On to the show!

We get so lucky. Jessica is so beautiful!

I think you can feel the connection on this one:

The afternoon was just gorgeous. We got this clear blue sky. I felt like were in California:

Thank you Jessica and Jeff! We had a great time. We can't wait until the wedding! We are going to have such a blast! See you very soon....

I love this slideshow. Seriously. Love it. I think the song made it:

I also wanted to give you guys a sneak peak on our exciting weekend. I shot an amazing wedding on Saturday (more pics and slideshow to come), and on Sunday we did a Trash the Dress session were I think between the bride, the makeup artist, and Josh and I we got some major photographs. Check it out:

Well its 10:40 p.m. After a very long and warm day of shooting we are finally at home full with some dinner and I am getting ready to go to bed. Bolth kenny and I are totally tired. I do have to say that we got some totally bitchin shots. WOW is all that I can say. Props to Jessica our bride for sticking it out today. She was so into it it was asowme, I am sure that by now you can tell just how tired I am there is like 50 miss spells on the screen so I am going to bed now and will post some photos tomorrow.

Good Night To All,

Josh

Im So Stoked

Kenny and I are off today to go do a trash the dress session. I am so stoked the bride wants us to have full creative control over the shot and she has borrowed a few dress as well. Yeah. Deanna & Mike Got Married!

I actually just met Deanna and Mike last week. Josh was the one that booked them and for some reason I didn't go to their consultation. I'm so glad that I did get to meet them though. They are two wonderful people that completely just fit together.

Five Things I Learned About Them & Their Wedding:

1. Deana was really flustered on her wedding day, until she put on her dress and all of sudden I could feel it dawn on her that today was the day she was marrying her soulmate.

2. Mike can really boogy (check out the dancing photos on the slideshow!)

3. Deana's father was literally bursting with pride and a little tiny tinge of sadness.

4. Family was the most important aspect of this wedding. I was simply amazed by how incredibly happy and joyful Deana and Mike's family were.

5. Elvis is alive and kicking!

Now on to the show:

Can you guess what their wedding date was?

As always our brides are gorgeous (I guess we're lucky that way).

Mike and Deana were so romantic. They stuck together like glue all night:

Can you believe that even Elvis showed up at their wedding?

I have another terrific slideshow. Enjoy!!!

Deana and Mike thank you again for letting us be part of your wedding day. We had so much fun! We wish you all the love and happiness in the future. I hope you guys have in Disneyworld (lucky ducks!).

Ashley & Mike Are Going To The Chapel

So I thought I would post this awesome engagement session before I blogged about this week's wedding and then finish with a second engagement session after that. It's a very busy time for us, but I want all of our brides and grooms to see their photographs as soon as possible.  I know that anticipation kills :)

I'm changing the format a little on how our blog our wedding and engagement sessions. Tell me if you like it.

This weekend, Josh and I finally met Ashley and Mike. Here's five things we learned about them.

1. They met at a bar at 2AM in Laredo, Texas (sort of).

2. Mike can seriously jump. He can get some major air! (Ashley not so much lol).

3. They have a beautiful baby girl named Sophia.

4. Ashley has the most gorgeous green eyes I have ever seen.

5. Mike is a part time hockey referee ( I think I could take him on though).

I guess what I most learnt about them, is that they are surrounded by love. You can tell just by the way they look at each other, and when they talk about their family. I can't wait to meet everybody on their wedding day.

Anyway, enough rambling, and on with the show:

Did I mention that Ashley is unbelievably gorgeous. I mean, I was jealous.

Both Ashley and Mike were really sexy together. You could just feel the chemistry:

I have to post these two images. I was really torn as to which one was my favorite. What do you think? A or B?

A:

B:

Of course, I didn't forget about a slideshow. I picked this song out just for you two. I hope you enjoy it.

Ashley and Mike, we had a fabulous time getting to know you. I hope you two enjoyed yourselves as well. I can't wait until your wedding. I just know it's going to be a beautiful and loving event in your lives. See you soon!

The Luckiest

Josh and I are lucky in life. We are lucky to meet people that can only best be described as amazing. Josh and I are lucky in life. We get to photograph amazing moments. Josh and I are lucky in life. Most of all we are amazed at the love that is found in the world.

I think we are lucky in life:

"These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things"

A slight play on The Sound Of Music, one of my favorite movies ever. I was looking through some of our recent personal photos and just had to show you some of them. Wherever Josh and I go our cameras go, so we always have tons of personal photos to go through by the end of the week. I found a couple that I just love. First off, I have several things that I absolutely love to photograph. I love to photograph food (yeah weird I know). I love to photograph weddings (self-explanatory), and I love to photograph children and animals. They are very high on my list, only because children and animals are never on guard. They are what they are in front of a lens whether that is happy or sad, and I love it.

For example,

Animals are inquisitive:

My new model, Maxine

And sometimes a little moody:

My beautiful (hardy har har!) pug, Sheezy

Children are the same way.  Check out these gorgeous girls that just happen to be Josh's cousins. They were kind enough to sit still for a nanosecond for a quick portrait.

And just because I feel so Oprah, explaining to you what my favorite things are, I'll post a headshot of me, Josh took.

I'm really excited about this coming week. We'll have a wedding for you, and two engagement sessions, as well as my rambling. I have a few tricks up my sleeve this weekend that I'm way excited to debut.

But I Really Don't Want To...

I was reading my favorite blog the other day(Dooce). and it dawned on me that all I ever blog about is wedding related stuff on this blog, and well, the whole point of this blog is to see more of our work and to get to know us a little bit better. I figure, maybe I can start blogging stuff about our daily lives?

I think it'll be fun and if it becomes incredibly mundane then I'll stop. I mean obviously, I won't blog about how I did the dishes last night, but just give our brides and readers a little glimpse into the incredible lives of Josh and Keny (which I hope you know I'm being completely sarcastic).

My current struggle is working out. I have a love/hate relationship with working out. As in I love how I look and feel after a work out, but I hate the whole sweating, and grunting like a small animal thing while I work out. I hurt my shoulder last year around September and completely stopped. Josh was worried that I wouldn't be able to lift my bouquet on our wedding day, and so instead of taking it easy, I took it as a Get Out Of The Gym card. Then we got married and the whole two weeks of overindulging myself with ice cream shaved ice in Hawaii quickly caught up to me. I hate to say this but I got back from our honeymoon with the full intention of going back to the gym, but I haven't gone since. I can try to say it's because we've been to busy, but the fact of the matter is I'm lazy (at least when it comes to sweating). I would much rather sit in our office editing photos while gasping at the scandulous going ons on The Hills with a bag of Doritos to keep me company. I do feel kind of guilty though...

This overwhelming feeling of guilt finally caught up to me a couple of nights ago. I woke up completely horrified and quickly looked for Josh to give him a detail account of my nightmare. I had dreamt that Josh and I were at a pool party where this gorgeous super model was in attendance. Josh took one look at Katyia (yup that is how detailed it was, she had a name), and he fell in love with her. I was completely distraught at the fact that Josh left me for a model named Katyia, that I went looking for sympathy from his mom (who is one of my dearest friends), and she just stared me down and said "what did you expect?". That's how my dream ended!!! I told Josh, and he busted out laughing. "Do you know what your subconcious is trying to tell you?". I glared at him and then spitted out the words "I should go to the gym?." He just kept right on laughing, and after assuring me that he would never leave me for a model named Katyia. I made up my mind to go the gym.

This evening I'm going to the gym. The first time in seven months. I'm kind of excited, and kind of not. I have my gym bag packed with the essentials including my Ipod full of songs specifically that make me want to run like the wind (including the classic Baby Got Back). Are there any songs you recommend for working out? Also what kind of workouts do you do? I get bored easily, so I always have to change it up. The next time you seem me I hope to be a lean, mean Nikon camera weilding machine :) Wish me luck!

And so I leave you with an inspirational photo of when I was a fit and fabulous bachelorette. Dang Newlywed 15!

It's A Dog's Life...

Meet Maxine....

She's my father in laws new puppy. She and I have been getting to know each other, and now that she and I have hung out a couple of times, I thought it would be the perfect time to for everyone else to get to know her a little bit better. I thought I'd introduce her to everybody using a little photo story called A Day In The Life Of A Puppy: Maxine's Story

This is Maxine. She is a happy go lucky, sunny, rambunctious kind of puppy, but most of all she's a daddy's girl kind of puppy:

She dislikes PDA:

But loves to play:

Ok.... she really likes to play! But sometimes this leads her to certain predicaments that maybe a puppy shouldn't be in:

But somehow she skates by every time! At least until the next time:

The world is her oyster, and she's definitely ready to sniff it up:

But most of all she loves her family and her family loves her:

Heehee! Kind of corny but hey I just had to show her off. I mean who doesn't like puppies? Especially, when you can play with them all afternoon, and then go home :)

Let's Talk About Shoes...

Hi! My name is Keny, and I'm a shoe whore....One of my favorite things about planning my own wedding was looking for the perfect pair of shoes. I'm an avid online shopper from all the time I spend in front of the computer, and last week while I was doing some "window" shopping, I came across two gorgeous pairs of shoes that I thought would be perfect for a bride's wedding days.

I found both of them on Forever21, and they were both about twenty dollars a pair. I know a lot of brides say they're going to wear their shoes after the wedding, but hey! if you don't, you won't throw a lot of money down the drain, and you actually might end up wearing these shoes once or twice again....

Now on to the drooling!

Yummy metallic, glittery shoes....perfect for the glam bride:

And some really pretty vintage inspired pink satin heels for that perfect slight pop of color.

Actually the pink heels would be cute for bridesmaids too! I hope this helps a bride in need of her glass slipper. I know I'm mighty tempted by the metallic heels....Sigh....Shoes...

Gen-no & Charles Got Married!

Josh and I knew March 29th, 2008 was going to be a lucky day. We just knew it. If you met
Gen-no and Charles, you'd know why. They are just lucky. Lucky to be such kind individuals, lucky to have family that loves them so much, lucky to have friends come all the way to Vegas just to watch two of them say their vows, and most of all lucky to have found each other.  Luck was definitely around on their wedding day. After all, how else can you explain as to why the minute we packed our camera gear, the weather became windy and chilly? I believe it was a little luck and a whole lot of love from here on earth and up above.

Gen-no and Charles got married at the amazing venue, Cili restaurant at the Bali Hai Golf Course.

Gen-no looked phenomenal. I mean drop dead gorgeous. If you're jealous of her makeup, it was done by Veronica of Makeup To Remember

Her bouquet was yummy! Pam from The Palette, did a beautiful job.

Gen-no and Charles were so romantic...

And up for anything! We even dragged all of their wedding guests to the Las Vegas sign for some fun and humongous group shots! I love a bride and groom that do anything to get the shot.

Gen-no and Charles, thank you again for letting us document such a special moment in your lives. I just know that God has many wonderful things in store for you.
I hope you enjoy the slideshow. I know Josh almost teared up watching it!
